මම ජවිපෙ, ජාතික ජන බලවේගය, පෙරටුගාමී, හෝ කිසිම දේශපාලන පක්ෂයක සාමාජිකයෙක් නොවෙමි.

එකඟ විය හැකි තැන් වලදී දූෂිත, ජන පීඩක රජයට එරෙහිව අරගලයට එක් වුනු තරුණ සංගම් සමඟ සිටගනිමි. එකට සටන් කල සගයන්ගේ නිදහස වෙනුවෙන් හා ජනතා අයිතීන් වෙනුවෙන් කොන්දේසි විරහිතව පෙනී සිටිමි.

ජනතා අරගලයට ජය!

I am not a member of JVP, NPP, FSP or any other political party.

I will stand with the youth organizations who took part in the People’s Struggle against the oppressive government when the cause is agreeable.

I stand unconditionally for the freedom of the comrades who fought together in the People’s Struggle and for the rights of the people.

Victory to the people’s struggle!

By arresting at least 84 peaceful protesters today, Sri Lankan authorities have reaffirmed its intolerance towards dissent.

Ironically, these peaceful protesters were demonstrating against the State's suppression of dissent.
